Scholopsis collects the following information when you use our service:
We use your data solely to provide the Scholopsis service — sending weekly report card emails to recipients you choose. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (email delivery via Resend, payments via Lemon Squeezy).
If you opt in — either right after signup or anytime later from Settings — we collect anonymized, aggregated grade data (no names, no email addresses) for academic research purposes, such as studying grade trends or the effect of grade transparency on student outcomes. Your user ID is cryptographically hashed and cannot be reversed. Solo plan subscribers who opt in receive their first month free as a thank-you; this has no effect on the data itself or on your ability to opt out later. You can change this choice at any time from your account settings.
Your data is stored securely in our database with row-level security — only you can access your own data. Grade data is cached locally in your browser extension and synced to our servers when you are signed in.
Scholopsis relies on a small number of trusted providers to operate:
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings — this takes effect immediately, no need to contact us. You can remove recipients at any time from your dashboard. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings, which opens Stripe's billing portal.
